Our craftspeople,
all trades,
salaried.
At Atelier NovAlp, the work does not go to outside firms: it is our salaried craftspeople who demolish, build in masonry, insulate, fit, connect and paint. Here is who does what on a site.
How our trades follow one another
A renovation site always follows the same order: what comes out, then what carries the load, then what is hidden in the walls, and finally what is seen.
Our trades, from floor to roof
Projects carried out by our teams
See all projects →Masons: demolition, structural work, stone
Our masons demolish and strip out, open up load-bearing walls after the load transfer has been calculated, pour slabs, build walls and render them. In Savoie, much of the older building stock is stone: we repoint and render it in lime, which lets the masonry breathe — see stone wall renovation.
Published example: in Chindrieux, project R1295C joined two adjoining houses by precisely sawing through thick stone walls, then redistributing every level. Our demolition pages: Annecy, Aix-les-Bains, Chambéry.
Plasterboard fitters and painters: insulation, partitions, finishes
Plasterboard partitions and linings, internal wall insulation, insulation of lofts and roof slopes, jointing tape, skim coats, paint and wall coverings: our plasterer-painters prepare the surface that they then finish themselves. A well-aligned partition means paint that does not show up under raking light.
Our insulation pages: internal wall insulation, unused lofts, roof insulation from the inside, ground floor insulation, and external insulation in Annecy, Aix-les-Bains and Chambéry.
Joiners: timber, joinery, kitchens
Our joiner started out as a window and door fitter; today he builds timber frames, balustrades, kitchens and everything else his trade covers. Windows and doors, staircases, panelling, roof framing, dormer windows and timber storey additions all go through this team.
Our pages: timber-frame extension, traditional roof framing, dormer window, window replacement in Annecy, Aix-les-Bains and Chambéry.
Plumbing, electrics, heating, tiling
The services are redone by our teams before the partitions are closed: supply and waste pipework, consumer unit and electrical circuits, heating and ventilation. Floor and wall tiling in the wet rooms follows.
Published example: in Aix-les-Bains, apartment R4AB (90 m²) had its insulation, kitchen, electrics and plumbing entirely renewed, with a heat pump installed. Our kitchen and bathroom pages: Annecy, Aix-les-Bains, Chambéry.
Who runs the site
The site is run by Lucas Sicot, works manager and managing partner. Baptiste Guiliani, architect and managing partner, designs the projects with our interior architect and our draughtspeople — and works on the sites himself. The craftspeople therefore have the plans of those who drew them, and a single person in charge on site.
That is what makes us a general contractor and not an intermediary: design, management and execution stay within the same firm.

Why salaried craftspeople
A firm that hands its work to other firms chooses a price; a firm that employs its craftspeople chooses people, trains them and keeps them. On your site, you see the same faces from the first day to handover.
It is also a question of responsibility: when a detail is not right, there is no debate between firms about the cause. The team that did it puts it right. Our craftspeople work under the company's RGE CertiRénov certification.
No middleman
You speak to those who do the work, and to the works manager who supervises them.
Craft tradition
One member of our team comes from the Compagnons du Tour de France.
Versatility
A plasterer who can paint, a joiner who builds a timber frame: fewer visits, less downtime.
Frequently asked questions — our craftspeople
